@dennyhenke

That's how I feel about getting in a car, or using a mobile phone, or buying food from a supermarket, etc.

At some point we always have to trust someone.

The problem is, the larger tech corporations, while they were always to some degree untrustworthy, have become deranged in their desperation for more power and control, the point where it is unequivocally harmful to engage with them in any way. 100% toxic. No redeeming features. Just monopoly, control and systemic abuse.

@kel Agreed!

I've long ago withdrawn, as much as is possible, my use of and participation in capitalism in general. At it's core a system that insists on operating without limits and without any pretense of responsibility or ethics. It does not serve humanity or the complex biosphere of the planet, only itself. It should have been dismantled long ago. We have to create a replacement, the sooner the better.
