PSA: Meta (Facebook) is offering a new “feature” where it asks you if you want to opt into “cloud processing”. If you say yes, you’ll be giving it permission to upload your entire camera roll and use AI on them to make suggested posts.

I’m just spitballing here, but I’m pretty sure most of y’all would not want to give Facebook all of your photos to use with their AI.

We know from recent revelations about #meta actively building code into #Facebook and #Instagram to work around privacy setting, that they do ANYTHING to exploit their products ( aka 'users' ). If they explicitly claim they won't, we should rather be deeply worried, that they'll try to get those pictures even without consent :
"While it claims that the images won't be used for ad targeting, it still doesn't make us feel particularly good."
