I met some people that night I’d never met before, but whose paths I then crossed for many years after. I also reconnected with some old colleagues in line that night and morning. It was an electric experience.

It was an electric experience.
One of my favourite things was the specially labelled bottle of champagne my colleague, Aidan, put together in anticipation of this day. It was drunk with great delight, I am told.
