For me, the initial change on transition to being (mostly) retired was not sleeping in, it was no longer feeling a need to create a daily task list every morning. Like the change in your sleep schedule, though, that lasted only about a year. It turned out that wasn't really a need, but it was a valuable and actually satisfying bit of structure and discipline.

@rdnielsen It's interesting the things we thought we didn't like, but it turns out we didn't like them *in a specific context* and perhaps they work in another context.
