The Guardian and the Met Office need reminding that a large section of the public DO understand the threats of global warming and that we cannot just stick our heads in the sand!

What the article fails to say, is that the Boaty McBoatface "craze" was driven by the Media, and it was started by lobbyists to play down the importance of research carried out by National Environment Research Council.

The idea of naming of storms after the fossil fuel and motor industry has been around for a while now, and it has NOT been driven by the Media, including the likes of The Guardian and that BBC. It is coming from the grass roots...
