Any chance this will be recorded to watch later? I'll be working while this is happening, but would love to follow along afterwards!

@bonfire@coopcloud Could bonfire.cafe have open registration? I think it would help to be able to see what it is and how it works. For example I'm curious how interoperable it is with the rest of the fediverse.

@vagnretur We're not planning to have a flagship instance, but we're confident several community-run instances will emerge soon!
To get a feel for what's included in Bonfire Social, you can sign up on our Campground (https://campground.bonfire.cafe), it's a testing instance (federation disabled) where you can explore features, discuss UX, and optionally report bugs or suggest improvements...

@bonfire I see, thank you 😊 I'll keep an eye out for community-run instances.

@bonfire that sounds all good but after reading the Bonfire homepage, I'm confused: what capability does Bonfire offer? It's a fediverse component but does it do blogging, microblogging, images, videos, or something else?

@brunogirin The Bonfire Social variant offers a microblogging service - like Mastodon - but with a focus on data protection and privacy.
