Making sure we pass on the knowledge, skills and resources passed down to us by older activists is really important. I know this can be a challenge, but attending in-person trainings can really help.

There are groups like the Ruckus Society who have decades of experience in running nonviolent direct action training;

Appreciate they say:

"As a community we are making the decision to drop non-violence words and ideologies from our training. That is not to say that we do not promote non violence as a tool but we also understand the realities on how this term has a different meaning to frontline communities who experience state violence in many ways, everyday. We firmly believe in the sovereign right to defend ourselves."
