UGC 1810: Wildly Interacting #Galaxy from #Hubble

UGC 1810's blue outer ring and shape result from a clash with its galactic neighbor, forming part of Arp 273. The blue hue comes from newly formed massive stars. Its older, redder core is laced with dust. Foreground stars and background galaxies dot the view. Located 300 million light-years away, UGC 1810 may eventually absorb its companion.
