@mbajurhttps://github.com/foocorp/hacienda by @mattl I think is the oldest running attempt at this but there are also a few other projects. I recently saw someone make a Misskey/Iceshrimp scrobble plugin that works with MusicBrainz if my memory is working
@liaizon with all due respect to the author(s) - this project doesn't fully tick all the boxes i personally require. Same goes for libre.fm. Even though I'm currently focused on @prismo, i might consider creating something like that based on the same engine i created for prismo in the meantime as is far less complicated to implement. Not sure if anyone will use it though
@mbajur @prismo oh yeah I wasn't saying that that was the solution at all just that there are other people with interest in having this feature in the fediverse. I think it's good to have multiple different folks working on different ways of doing similar things. Maybe more standards could come out of it if anything
@liaizon alright, false alarm, that could be fun but Spotify does not support sending webhooks for listens so one of my required boxes is not ticked -> I'm sadly out 🫡
@liaizon definitely! I'm just not entirely sure if that's something that actually fits the federation. Does literally anything fits federation? That's the question I'm constantly asking myself and i would love to hear more about from other people :)
