me: "I hope a few #isopods will be happy in my terrarium, these popped up in my compost box, at least it's a bit more forest-shaped... I love isopods so much but they don't like to be exposed to the light so I guess I'll just have to trust that they're still be there, down hidden under the wood, living their secret lives beneath the dark earth..."

the isopods in my terrarium: ok kids, family trip to climb up the moss forest!

A view from above, clearer without the moist glass in the way.

At least three isopods of different sizes climbing atop the sphagnum most that thrives in my terrarium and grew to the shape of a miniature jungle. The scene is very brightly illuminated by my plant lights.

more #isopod . This is one of the highest points in my terrarium, they're just out there bouldering today

A closeup of one of the isopods hanging out atop a tiny Brazilian orchid I have on an elevated piece of wood covered in moss, to a background of bright green ferns.

"how *is* your terrarium going anyway elilla&" suffering from success. plants grew so much that they're covering everything. the decorations are gone, you can't see the wood chunk buried in moss and pepperomias, the tiny orchids are obscured, the mamoninha shells are a distant memory and the skull is half buried in green like some ancient Aztec relic in the altiplanos. I didn't even known sphagnum moss *could* grow this tall. fern literally pushed aside the glass lid and broke containment.

"use your homemade worm compost in the terrarium elilla&" "plants do well with microbes elilla&" (not complaining)

Sphagnum strands tall like a miniature conifer forest.

Detail of the skull, what you can see if it anyway.

Terrarium from above. It went from mostly empty to packed with green. A big fern leaf escaped up by making a slim opening in the glass.
