The two work on the same nest. One is crouched down in the center of a dozen twigs and string, tail up in the air. The other stands to the side and is lowering in a twig with their beak.
Two jays stand on a beam underneath a roof eave, adding twigs to a nest. One is bent down with tail in the air, the other leans in with head tilted to the side. Their upper bodies are black and lower bodies are blue. They have crests and somewhat long, rounded-tipped tails.
