Here in Benin, kids go from door to door too, but during the day on the 1st.
They'll receive biscuits, crackers and sweets.
In my photo below (left), the girls are busy preparing small bags to give tomorrow to kids who'll come to the door playing Kaléta.

"The Kaléta is a mask society from southern Benin. Imported from Brazil in the mid-19th century by former slaves, the Kaléta is made up of groups of masked people, accompanied by singers, dancers and instrument players."
