This is kinda cursed and I feel kinda bad about this, but I just re-created Twitter UI to #Mastodon with #CSS only... wanted to see how quickly it's possible to do.
Now that I have everything in CSS vars (shame that Mastodon has them hardcoded at the moment), I can use this as base to create another theme for myself. #MastoAdmin#WebDev#Twitter
Edit: Fixed things to the screenshot as I'm kind of a perfectionist/OCD-person.
See those purple things earlier? They are hardcoded colors.
I see myself re-defining a lot of colors like this.

I might contribute these var definitions directly to the core some day. #CSS#WebDev
Many things fixed from the screenshots above, like some spacings, icons, etc.
I'll do the mobile view as well, then release it as open source.
I kinda like Twitter-ish Mastodon UI. Will create a whole lot new Mastodon purple UI based on this. It will be fun.
