I was going to post this tomorrow for #WIPWednesday but it turns out it's the perfect #MardiGras colors so here it is now.

A square of tatted thread. Lots of the little loops and chains that connect them. Colors are very vibrant. Turquoise, purple, yellow and pink are all in the same variegated thread. It looks a lot like King Cake colors.

In 1979, a police strike in New Orleans canceled Mardi Gras from the top down... but Mardi Gras from the bottom up flourished. IMO one of the greatest Mardi Gras ever, along with 2006.
