I just got done rewatching the 1975 film/musical "Tommy" starring Ann Margaret, Oliver Reed, The Who and every musician under the sun at that time.
Still amazing. Still weird. Still clever.
Tina Turner is, now and forever, the Acid Queen.
It's the story of how we elevate celebrities to the status of religious figures. How we get caught up in the cult of celebrity, and how we just grasp and hang on to almost anything in the search for answers, healing, and redemption.
Of all the tracks, this one has to be my favorite, and still very relevant.
