I made this as part of a student project to create "stained glass postcards", to go in a stand my stained glass teacher bought – so we could display them for a holiday party. Each panel is 6.5" x 7.5".

#StainedGlass #LeadedGlass

A rotating display stand with stained glass panels, each panel unique. From the top: a forest with a stream; a koi fish; my hummingbird and calla lily panel; a heart with rays extending outward; a UFO abducting a Christmas tree and Santa; a cardboard sign that says "Stained Glass Postcard". Rights reserved to the artists who made each panel; my hummingbird panel and this photograph CC BY-SA 4.0 Kate Zimmerman.

#ArtAdventCalendar 2025 Day 18: hummingbird and calla lily.

#StainedGlass #LeadedGlass #MyWork #ArtAdventCalendarKZeta

Photograph of a stained glass panel I designed and constructed. The hummingbird is in mid-flight, its beak near the center of a peachy-yellow calla lily. It's a fiery throated hummingbird with a brilliant orange throat that transitions to yellow, then into the green of the body and a blue-feathered belly. The headcap, wing, and tail feathers are purple and blue (though they appear somewhat mauve with the sun shining through them). CC BY-SA 4.0 Kate Zimmerman.
