Here is Mark Zuckerberg canceling all of his previously touted philanthropy that benefited people in need and instead spending his tax-deductible “gifts” on vanity projects in AI.

@gleick NYT isn't immune to this. It had a bullshit ad from #Chevron in the middle of the article when I loaded it ("Energy for the Age of #Ai: Reliable power, around the clock").

#Zuckerberg is basically self-dealing by calling his funding of AI a type of philanthropy since he's just getting a tax write-off for indirectly investing in his own companies. One can arguably call LLM-type AI misanthropy.
