Whats the recommended way of getting good digitisations from old photo albums?
I have been given a number of photo albums (some of them quite old) which can't be folded flat in to a scanner (specifically the scanner in a multifunction printer).
I've looked at some "Scanner Pens" and considered hanging the photo album off the side of the scanner while copying - neither of these feels like the right solution.
It is also interesting to see how people spend significant time and effort to download digital facsimiles from academic repositories, edit every image, and upload them to the Internet Archive.
