One of my "holy grail" #Laserdiscs just arrived!
CAPTAIN SUPERMARKET!
The western version of the film had some boring title like #EvilDead 3 #ArmyOfDarkness, but only Japan released it with the true, superior title.

The Japanese "Captain Supermarket" #laserdisc includes the 88 minute International Cut of the film, which is somewhere in between the 81 min US Cut, and the 96 min Director's Cut.
It includes some footage from the DC but loses some from the US. Crucially it's a longer cut but it retains the "S-Mart" ending.
Even more fun is that the disc includes the DC ending after the credits, so you can program it to include whichever ending you want!
At last! I finally have the complete #EvilDead Trilogy on #laserdisc!

A few years ago a lucky #LaserDisc hunter bought a laserdisc that was used as a demonstration of the #EditDroid system that contained 30 minutes of unedited Return of the Jedi footage.
The footage has since been uploaded to YouTube as well and is a great example of modern lost media. There exists today film, media, and audio that may exist on LaserDisc or VHS but has never been remastered or re-released otherwise. Some folks go around hunting those down as a hobby.
