Always trying to improve my processing skills (because there is always lot of room to improve 🤪). Took another stab at this one from August during a Dark Sky #RASC astronomy event at #TerraNovaNP.

Getting a better hang of free/open-source #darktable which has been a great replacement for Lightroom. Final tweaks in Pix Insight.

Night time image from the shoreline of a pond. Pond is visible to the lower left of the image. There are trees rising up to the right from the pond. Rising above the pond, a starry sky is visible with the Milky Way rising up and to the left. The dark lanes (dust obscuring starlight) of the Milky Way are evident. The Milky Way is brightest and slight yellow colour near the horizon/pond.

The #MilkyWay over a small brook. Captured during late September's new-moon phase.

Didn't turn out quite the way I hoped (dim foreground). It was so dark nestled between high trees. But it sure was peaceful there.
