@tim This already covers what 90% of people usually want to be able to control/automate.
If you don't want to touch the concealed installation, you can also use Wifi/Zigbee based smart plugs to at least control lights with a cable.

I am not using any thermostats (heatpump) but there are also nice and cheap Zigbee options available.
