I've an extremely niche #video question.

I have a 360 / spherical camera. When I grab the videos from its SD card, they come out like this.

Is there an easy way to turn them into #EquiRectanguar format suitable for #photosphere viewing?

If I use the official camera app, it converts them. But the app doesn't work on modern Android phones!

Help, advice, and speculation all welcomed.

‪Here are some great shots from our #GREGORSolarTelescope observation campaign in July. Peering into the #photosphere and #chromosphere, we caught several emerging active regions – and a #flare! This will help us study the plasma dynamics in active regions and how energy builds up to create a flare.

Emerging active region as seen by GREGOR. It's a black and white image of an area swarming with bundles of lines stacked in various orientations. Near center, one area appears especially dark compared to the surroundings.

Emerging active region as seen by GREGOR. It's a black and white image of an area filled mostly with granulation pattern, a convection-cell structure looking simular to a very unorderly honeycomb pattern. Near center, that structure is broken up and one area appears especially dark compared to the surroundings.
