We are releasing seven new scientific publications today, based on our Q1 data release earlier this year. All revolve around various aspects of galaxy evolution. They are accompanied by two new image collages:

The first one is a #Euclid-based re-creation of the classical 'morphology tuning fork' of galaxy shapes – the second a near-infrared view into the 'dark cloud' LDN 1641, released by #ESA.

If you are thinking: this Dark Cloud image looks quite nice as a thumbnail. In full resolution it has 11,000 x 12,500 pixels! #Euclid's strength is simultaneous fine sampling and observation of large patches of the sky.

Another fun slide at the #ag2025goerlitz awards ceremonies by Frank Grupp of LMU who is honored - https://www.physik.lmu.de/de/aktuelles/newsuebersicht/news/frank-grupp-erhaelt-preis-fuer-instrumentenentwicklung-2025.html - by the @GermanAstroSoc for a major contribution to the #Euclid space observatory. Here he shows a star #spectrograph he built as a school project in the 1980s.
