Der CommonsDB Explorer https://registry.commonsdb.org/explorer ist seit ein paar Tagen online. Dahinter liegt eine Datenbank gemeinfreier Werke (Bilder) bzw. solche mit offener Lizenz. Das Coole: ich kann ein Bild mit Drag'n Drop in den Explorer ziehen und sehe den Rechteeintrag (wenn es einen in der DB gibt).

Es basiert auf dem International Standard Content Code #ISCC und ist somit ein erstes Real-World Beispiel für mögliche Einsatzgebiete dieses Codes.

Wichtig für rechtliche Festlegungen: ein Trust-Modell!

Aktuell arbeiten wir in unserem Projekt zu den standardisierten Rechtebeschreibung von digitalisierten Objekten an ähnlichen Problemen (nur eben nicht public domain oder open). Hier gehen meine Überlegungen in eine sehr ähnliche Richtung.

Verifiable Credentials #VC und #ISCC sind hier eine starke Kombo.
