Ran across a (cheap) teak table on the side of the road today while bicycling.
Me: Hmm, do you know if that homeowner is throwing that out?
Tree crew: Probably, it's pretty rickety.
Me: I dunno, I bet I could fix it.
Owner of table: Take it, I don't want it!
(take it home)
Son: That things is really rickety, I don't think you can fix it.
Me: OH YEAH?
(not sure if I'll use it or put it back out on the curb, but not rickety, and refinished. Maybe put plants on it. Or replace the indoor furniture I have out on the patio which has been rained on too many times. You would think my son would have learned by now that I fix stuff for the challenge. 馃檮 ).
