Right on. #FOSS4G2025 academic track reviews done. A couple of notes that apply to all conferences:
- authors: please make abstracts short! I know this is difficult and especially new researchers don't always get good coaching on this
- reviewers: be kind! Explain what you mean. "Comparison to past work" for example - what? how? Especially when the abstract states "no past work exists" 馃 . Again, I know, academic culture is not great for mentoring on this. Be a builder, not a critic.
