TIL you can use #ApplePay on a non-Apple device as long as you have another #Apple device with a camera.

Example: I was paying for a little Voicemod Pro on my gaming PC to try it: https://www.voicemod.net

The payment process will display custom QR code you scan with an iPhone or iPad. Finish Apple Pay there, Voicemod website updated on PC, and Bob's my uncle. Smooth experience.

Saw someone post about how their #creditcard got stolen via #Apple pay twice, and #Apple won't inform them and how terrible this is and what a hassle it was dealing with the bank and how they hope it doesn't happen again.

and all I could think is - why are you still using #ApplePay if its such a terrible, clearly insecure product?

We are truly screwed if people won't even quit #bigtech in this kind of situation...
