Marcus Jastrow spent 40 years of his life writing an enormous dictionary that has an English translation for every single word in the Talmud.

He was ordained as a rabbi at a young age and left his native Prussia to go work in Poland. In this era, in Poland, Jews spoke Yiddish, (Christian) Poles spoke Polish, and the ruling Russians spoke Russian. (It was in this linguistically divided environment that Zamenhof invented Esperanto).

Jastrow learned Polish and gave a sermon in Polish about the Russians murdering Polish activists. It was so popular that the next day he gave it again to note takers who circumvented the ban on Jews publishing by hand-writing 1000 copies of it and distributing it on the streets.

seriously three strong people in their 20s should be able to do most of the move necessary in one day. I'm basically begging at this point.

I've made a lot of progress in physical therapy the past two years but five minutes of standing in front of my desk trying to box it up? my heart rate's nearing 140 and my back is screaming at me.

if I go at the rate I am physically capable of, it will never get done.

I'd rather get help from strangers on here than from strangers on Craigslist or other service ads sites. historically bad luck at the latter. please share and tag anyone who might be able to help.

if not please help me with money so I can hire movers to come and do what we cannot. even moving just across a yard is expensive and I haven't yet done so because I want things to be ready but at some point it will be what it is.
