It continues to amazes me how many podcast episodes are linked to the hosting platform they currently use. Instead of an episode page on their own website, which I have to dig for with web search.

Podcasters, like anyone else publishing their work online, need to build their castle in their own kingdom. Register a domain name, host a website, and have a page for each episode. Make sure listeners clicking through to a website from a podcast app end up there.

@strypey @SrRochardBunson

you can use #faicamp to build your podcast site. It has all the necessary features baked in.

Eg clicking ' Visit Website' on the latest episode of Patrick Boyle On Finance takes me to;

https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pb183/episodes/Trader-Rates-Biggest-Wall-Street-Films-e34lolc

Instead of to;

http://onfinance.org/podcast

... which unlike many podcasts, is just an embed of the latest episode on Spotify anyway 🤦‍♂️

In contrast, unlike earlier episodes which linked to;

https://shows.acast.com/teamhuman/episodes/

... the latest episode of Team Human links me to;

https://www.teamhuman.fm/episodes/325-de-kai

That's the way to do it.
