It's been meltingly hot here. Temperatures are over 34 degrees, so we are hiding in the shade with windows and curtains firmly shut.

Most everything else is as languid as you possibly can be in such horrid weather.

English Skies (Hensley D) has the most amazing blooms of pale carnation pink petals overlaid with markings of magenta and violet.
Unshakeable (Gossard) another unusual form monster with deepest winde red twisting petals and a chartreuse stardust throat.
Omega Red (Gossard) massive bright red blooms with yellow throats half on thick tall scapes.
Barbara's Canary (Alsopp) seedling from Green Throated Robin by Gossard.

Here, we have Megatron by Jamie Gossard, showing its true magnificence. Flower wingspan is around 11 inches. Short grower, but worth having for the golden stardust throat alone.
JP Moneybags by Judie Davisson, which is one of the few bagel types that we have. Good purple thumb print and gold edging prevent me from digging it up.
Ancient Elf by Jamie Gossard, showing its lovely 5-inch wavy flowers, like golden moths held high on tall wiry stems. Good parent plant.
