So it seems that if you upload high-res images to the #InternetArchive, you *do* get them squished into the image carousel and that's a bit annoying, but you *can* just ignore that and use the #IIIF endpoint to pull whatever display-sized JPEG derivative that you like. Doesn't help people browsing the item on archive.org but it does avoid the hack of uploading images as a "generic book Zip". So that's good isn't it?
