Copyright is complicated. Declaring copyright status correctly across millions of online images even more so.
CommonsDB, a @EUCommission initiative, just finished a very interesting experiment.
At @smk we’re happy to contribute ≈40K artwork records to the project (currently at 20K, more still being added).

@jonassmith @EUCommission @smk In what jurisdictions do you need to "declare copyright status"? In the UK you have copyright simply by virtue of having created something.
