So, are all the people angry at #Google #maps for predictably renaming #LakeOntario actually going to stop using it, or just complain and make excuses, just like they've done with basically every other #bigtech platform that supports fascists?

@ncoca There was a brief, beautiful moment, when Signal was the no. 1 downloaded app in the world. A few weeks later, nobody cared.

@jkn I remember that, when WA added some onerous update to their TOS and there was a massive shift in South and SE Asia, no? 5-6 years ago?

At least, it seems, most journalists are still on Signal.

I closed my #Google account back in 2018.
