Every company that snuggles up with DHH and writes a check is either fully supportive of DHH's hatred/bigotry, or they're under the naïve and misguided belief that technology can somehow be separated from the people who make it (and profit off of it). In either case, I won't have anything to do with anyone who has anything to do with Omarchy.
@neatnik I wrote about the earlier when I saw the news. Staggeringly poor decision. I can only think it’s fully intentional. They know absolutely what they’re doing and the audience they want to appeal to.
@daveycraney @neatnik Moved my decades long password business to Bitwarden. It does work. But it’s SO depressingly ugly.

@andyn @maique @daveycraney @neatnik Y’all might be pleased to know that Bitwarden has a huge UI refresh slated for later this year! They’re also working on tags, desktop auto-type, desktop passkeys, and more.
I’ve been keeping a close eye on it because I admin it at work and use it at home with my family. I’m pretty stoked

Thanks for the heads up. My family has been using 1Password for as long as I can remember. It will be a journey for me to move all of them. But I can’t abide the conflation of fascism and technology. It makes me so angry.
By the way, if you don’t know about Mullvad doing their boot-licking, it’s bad. I switched to @ivpn
and have had a great experience.

I cannot suggest strongly enough to self host vaultwarden, I do it and I feel much more safe to have my passwords on a hard drive sitting in my wardrobe than in some datacentre somewhere

Passwords are one of the only things that I won’t self-host tbh. With strong MFA and security hygiene, the likelihood of me fucking something up in my homelab is higher much than Bitwarden getting hacked.
I totally understand why people self-host it though. More power to you!
