Really says something that cities across the US that cancel their contracts have to put BAGS OVER THE CAMERAS to stop the company illegally turning them back on.
And that is why, even though I'm on the Responsible Citizen™️ side of the resistance, I don't clutch my pearls at people who cut the damn things down. The company that defies the law so consistently does not deserve its protection, and it's time corporations learned that again.

Have they been covered or turned off? FLOCK reportedly also collects electronic signals, so could still be harvesting and reporting specific devices like cars, cell phones, blue tooth headset
They don't need the license plate once they can tie a license plate to a particular ID for modern telemetry

I know Flock has plans to follow everyone's devices, but I'm not sure what the status of it is. Regardless, the cameras have to be put in a bag because the company illegally turns the cameras back on. It sure wouldn't surprise me if they did roll out the multi-device scanning early and unannounced, as much as they've lied about everything else. I don't know about Tempe. I do know the activists there are very persistent and well informed and will not allow substitution of Axon or...
