I try to turn it off.
But doing some work that involves a bunch of spreadsheets interlinked and working my way through them and knowing where I am up to.
Easier to let the pc got to sleep and jump back in where I left off, rather than opening them up again.
@Em0nM4stodon My laptop usually stays on, but sleeps overnight. I have another system running a Mineclonia server and acting as a NAS that runs almost all the time, but I've got tried to configure it to be more efficient, undervolted the CPU and such.
@Em0nM4stodon I turn off my desktop and laptop, but every computer in my rack keeps running. That's 2 large servers, 6 mini PC's and 12 raspberry Pi's 😅
Oh, and my phone. That's also always charged and on, since I get my paramedic alerts on that one.
@Em0nM4stodon Yes, always! But I also have a pretty efficient server that runs 24/7. Although I could probably set it to have off hours at night pretty easily.
My phone also stays on overnight, but it really barely sips power on airplane mode.
@Em0nM4stodon The Raspberry Pi running #HomeAssistant stays on all night, because it's doing useful things. Others get turned off - why would I burn carbon when I'm not using them??
@Em0nM4stodon they sleep more than I do.
@Em0nM4stodon what answer corresponds to whatever Linux system-L does? Turns off the monitors, logs out, but doesn't do a full suspend, I don't think?
@Em0nM4stodon The router (minipc) stays on, phones/laptops go to sleep, what answer would you consider that?
@Em0nM4stodon I also turn off my mobile device at night
@Em0nM4stodon I also turn off
@Em0nM4stodon I turn my computers on when I need to use them, then off when I am done.
