@FediVideo Am I right that PeerTube videos are not embedded yet in Mastodon? As in, I cannot play the videos from within my Mastodon app (Moshidon), but are instead taken to an external browser? @brandkopf
They are embedded if you're using a computer or an iPhone.
Android apparently makes it unusually difficult to embed videos within apps.
AFAIK this is something PeerTube cannot deal with, as they don't control which app you use to see their posts.
Here's how the lead developer of Tusky put it:
"...(embedding) is built with web technology, and embedding into apps requires a bunch of hacks like loading a whole browser just to show the embed so we rather don't."
