ACM is now showing an AI “summary” of a recent paper of mine on the DL instead of the abstract. As an author, I have not granted ACM the right to process my papers in this way, and will not. They should either roll back this (mis)feature or remove my papers from the DL.

@hovav Those deploying #LLMs are frequently doing stupid, and this is a perfect illustration of that.

It's the most obviously daft thing I've seen yet. Not just bad but ridiculous...

To replace a hand crafted abstract with by a human to convey the essential information about a paper they wrote with an AI generated summary. 🤦‍♂️

And this is from the Association for Computing Machinery!

The @ACM are officially run by clowns.
