I am probably getting old, but the idea to cram in lots of events in Brussels the entire week before FOSDEM is not getting my thumbs up. Or well, you can have them but I won't be there.
A regular FOSDEM already wears me out on its own. Being at the European Open Source Awards on the Thursday before FOSDEM is stretching it but I will do it.
Adding *more* events to my agenda that week would probably kill me.
Did I mention I'm old? Leave me alone.
@bagder I'm old too and I feel this. I stopped going to conferences a few years ago.
It's not that I'm tired, I just don't like people.
@bagder thumbs up, though, for knowing your limits and what you want to do with your energy. (I definitely need to be better at that myself whenever I'm at a conference or trade fair.)
Find a nice spot in Brussels to relax in between the awards and what you want to see at FOSDEM. Get up Atomium and enjoy the view. Eat a waffle.
@bagder as an introvert, more than a weekend worth of public events is too much. I'm probably going to need a nap, even then.
@bagder this. I'm complaining for years now that FOSDEM requires a dedicated nap area. Who will make an old man happy? 馃檹 馃槣
