@janl Checked the calendar for test runs on the “Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center” (山梨県立リニア見学センター) website, then turned up on one of those days (today). It roared past maybe every 5-10 minutes for most of the time we were there. (There was a bit of downtime at one point.)

@janl The biggest challenge is getting there; there’s a bus from/to Ōtsuki station at an hourly-ish schedule… some of the time. Otherwise it’s a mostly-uphill 1.5-2km walk from the nearest local train station, that train seemed to go every 40ish minutes.
We caught the bus up but got a taxi back to Ōtsuki as the kids were flagging.
