i forget most of the substance of the argument but at one point a transbian tech nerd replied to me like “i have a website where i am teaching people [read: girls] Rust and C# so at least i [read: unlike you] am making a difference in the world”
well i clicked thru to their website and the design was actually really interesting and good; i thought it was a really creative approach with a handcrafted feel that played dual messages against each other and i’ve never seen a real tech evangelist’s website show anywhere near that level of inspiration or care or love which is its own kind of depressing i guess
can you imagine being asleep and having a nice dream and then clicking on a link and winding up on an plain unstyled Ghost blog? nightmare fuel
