@Gina I get you, but at the same time I think one of the strenghts of open source is how it enables people and organizations with different goals to help each other.

@Gina Exactly know what you mean. I had the same when I was working for Alliander. When these kinds of companies mention open source, it is not about collaboration. The phrase I came across was 'we are not a charity'. While that might be true, I love to hear some other motivators too.

@Gina Well you pretend to be Microsoft Office, what do you expect? It's an impossible situation TBH. People wont use anything else if it isn't close enough and you can never keep up. Been the same way for 30 odd years once "word processor" or "spreadsheet" became supplanted by those criminals (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_v._Microsoft_Corp.)

Ugh, I guess some people have been living in this fever dream (= Microsoft ecosystem) for way too long so that they can't see or think outside of the box anymore... thus the lack of awareness of #LibreOffice etc.

Just like the story with the fish that got its aquarium halved for a while and then still would continue to swim on only the one half even though the aquarium had its full size back 🤔
