World Big Tech Debt tour 2025!
20.10.2025 AWS
29.10.2025 Azure
18.11.2025 CloudFlare
Either CloudFlare is 11 days ahead or someone/something else is planned on 29.10.2025
😂
@rysiek can somebody please post the schedule for advent?
@rysiek @christofsteel so Hetzner is next?
@thegcat @christofsteel I doubt it. I've been using them for over a decade and never seen a single global Hetzner outage.
@rysiek @christofsteel well, we have work stuff and hobby stuff there, the last outage was less than 2 weeks ago 😂
@thegcat @christofsteel haha ouch. Any link to an incident?
@thegcat @christofsteel oh yeah, but that just affected fsn1.
There are always going to be unexpected events and random downtime. But Hetzner has never – to my knowledge – experienced the kind of complete global meltdown as CloudFlare has today (and on several other occasions before).
@rysiek Flashback to the '80s, when one of the drummers for Sigue Sigue Sputnik allegedly had his own tour T-shirt.
For all his scheduled court appearances.

I need the internet gatekeep^W^Wcloud providers to get their shit together, my doctor tells me this amount of popcorn is dangerous to my health.
@rysiek hear me out, this AI tool will change ibternet for the better, we got updates writting themselves!
Yet again I will point out that because "enterprise web development" is cargo-culting these days, a single website might rely on multiple gigantic "cloud" providers at the same time.
We know these exist because when Azure was down, some were blaming CloudFlare. 🤡
There are only so many of these gigantic providers. So if a website relies on CloudFlare, AWS, and Azure simultaneously, over the last month it would have been dead in the water on three different occasions, for hours on end. 👀
Me: Mom, i want decentralized web!
Mom: We have decentralized web at home
Decentralized web at home: website relying on AWS, Cloudflare and Azure at the same time.
You can't be DDoSed if your site is down!
@rysiek CDoS - Centralized Denial of Service
@rysiek You missed the regular, nearly monthly, Office365-issues
