@rysiek
They copied aws and put a server down?
@rysiek @briankrebs Cloudflare down? Wow. Hard reality check for a lot of people inbound…
@andrei_chiffa @briankrebs not this time, probably mis-reporting by Downdetector users..
Cloudflare had a major one a few months ago though:

@rysiek nice blocklist
@rysiek the robots support #GeneralStrike
@rysiek Ah it's just copilot has taken control while the pilot is taking a toilet break... Unfortunately it is the same type of copilot from that Germanwings flight a while ago.
@rysiek they can add my home based call center to the list. It is dropping all our calls before we even speak to the caller. We have about 400 agents in the US and havent completed a call in over an hour. 😂
this timeline sucks.
@rysiek This is a national security issue. It means we need to break these giant companies up so they don’t control so much of our infrastructure
@maxoakland require and enforce full interoperability and well-defined protocols and APIs, for starters
I guess the AI software generation has just been pushed out
@rysiek Don't be one of us! Don't be one of us!
(I want this to an AI coding fail, not human error).
@virtuous_sloth it is always going to be human error, "AI" has no agency. The error might have simply been deploying the spicy autocomplete in a context where it can cause damage.
@rysiek That is a distinction without any additional information.
@virtuous_sloth I feel it is important to not let those huge companies off the hook and allow them to mathwash their incompetence away.
@rysiek it's great they waited after the aws (my phone autocorrected and I just noticed) outage
@rysiek
It feels so great that I hadn't even noticed until I read your post. 🙃
@rysiek Oh, microsoft did a AWS
@rysiek not Chipotle! where will I get mediocre overpriced burrito bowls now?
@rysiek AWS and Google are also kinda down? Wasn't it cloudfhare earlier today?
@mms Downdetector-dot-com is crowdsourced I believe, and my hot-take-hypothesis at this point is that a lot of services rely on AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure all at the same time, and when one goes down, these services go down as well.
From there it's easy for folks to make incorrect assumptions.
@rysiek Better than their #HalloweenDocuments!
