@cwebber Android had its good points: A reference GUI people recognize and one package format, to name a couple.

I considered the "Linux dream" in the n900 era and decided I had enough of the fragmentation experience on my Linux-based PCs already... stayed with my dumbphone until ~2022.

Now I have a Fairphone w FOSS Android and Google is lowering the boom. Does a Linux distro look more appealing today? No.

@cwebber I ditched my last smartphone two years ago, and reverted to a flipper. It's a giant PITA for texting, and the camera sucks root, but I'm staying with it.

If Google really does go through with killing @fdroidorg , I'm going to have to go back to having a dumb phone and a separate, offline PDA.

@cwebber I went back to check my notes on why I never bought the Neo 1973. It was the size. 12cm! How could anyone carry around such a brick? Preposterous! And now...

Anyway, what I'm saying is, this is probably my fault. Sorry about that.
