About the Magura kit: It's basically 2 siringes, one has a hole in it to release air, and a piece of tube with a screw-connector to attach it to the brake.
So you can definitely DIY that. I can send you measurements of the syringes if you want, at least of the tips so they fit snug into brakes and leaver.
Edit: The expensive part of the kit likely are the spare parts and fluid. The siringes are really just standard stuff.
@rquandt so basically it's two 30ml syringes and one has a hole at 30ml. That way you can pump the fluid back and forth to get rid of air in the lines.
And this piece of tube with a brake connector, the same you'd use to attach a brake line to the brakes or handles.
