@BlackAzizAnansi thank you for sharing. I believe in the people's power, but I have largely fallen into cynicism that we can muster the full support that we need to truly uproot the rot of this iteration of the GOP. We have all seen friends, neighbors, and family members making bad faith arguments to support policies and actions of the GOP. They experience the sunk cost of supporting bad or reckless people. They are fed a steady stream of misinformation. Scared doesn't matter. It's not enough.

The GOP is attempting to project an image of strength, when in reality, they’re nothing more than a paper tiger. When you take away the scapegoats, take away the distractions, and lower the quality of life for millions of Americans, who else is left to blame?

The GOP knows this, and they don’t want the anger that they’ve traditionally harvested and directed towards other groups, to be directed at them.
