So apparently part of the issue with #threads is that they moved domain from https://www.threads.net to https://www.threads.com with the result that #fediverse domain handles are no longer obvious and transparent. Kind of screams neglect and don’t care won’t fix.

@jim Anyone with Fediverse sharing enabled will appear with the .net domain in the search.

@Sunraku Yes - you have to know this tho! It does not say this anywhere on threads.com profiles.

IDK how complicated migrating the domain from https://www.threads.net to https://www.threads.com would be, but not advertising it to users or making any provision for this is dire. #fediverse #threads #meta
