@davidgerard If you think that is funny, check out the neutrino bomb. Some wise guy wrote a tongue-in-cheek article about it, pointing out that shielding would be futile. As the story goes, some senator caught wind of it and held up the NSF budget for an explanation of why we weren't developing it. The problem was then one of telling the senator he'd been had without telling him he'd been had: senators can have fragile egos.

This is a tool which could be used for the betterment of humanity, and I just see billionaires thinking they can add it to toothpaste or some frivolous item like watch faces.

We already have radium for that, why use an inferior product
