Possible reason: because they are hallucinating (like an AI) what "good" an AI unleashed on the Fedi would do.

When you use a machine to formulate your sentences, IMHO, you're actually insulting the recipient on the other side who is a human being.
If you cannot be bothered to formulate your own sentences, why would the other person be bothered to respond to your large language generated slop
